Spring & summer 2018 photo highlights

Well, it’s been a while since posting! Can’t go into much detail, but just after I did a 24 hour photo walk in my local city in April, I have been poorly on and off  with respiratory problems. This has bizarrely coincided with some amazing family trips – to Amsterdam, Italy, Jersey and Paris. I managed to do these, captured something of the places and atmosphere. I haven’t had energy to sort them out and post until now. So here is blog record of my summer trips and a smorgasbord of four places and memories…. enjoy 🙂

Amsterdam – I took my wife Karen away at the end of April, to fulfil a desire to see the Dutch bulb fields, and also to celebrate her 50th birthday and our silver wedding.

Italy – my brother Matthew and I arranged a trip to Rimini, Italy for our mother Christine. Her brother was killed in WW2 and this is the first time she has been able to visit his graveside – very poignant, prayerful and chance to see a bit of Italy too.

Jersey – our big family holiday – with beauty spots and places to explore, packed into this tiny island.

Paris – first time for the four of us – a whistle stop trip taking in the sights and sounds of this vibrant city, from the Seine, to Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Le Louvre, Arc de Triomphe and Sacre Coeur…

And, finally, in black and white…
